Great article! I believe it hits the nail on the head.

By the way, whatever happened to the penny candy called "Squirrels?" Those were my favorite, as a kid (yes, I realize that my age is showing).

IIIIIII LOOOOVE JUICEFULS!! They have such a unique flavor i am an ADDICT of the peach flavored ones. The candy brings back such great memories for me in high school, because the teacher could smell the aroma of a fresh peach coming out of my face somewhere. This is what great candy is all about, what it does for you and how it makes you feel. Pleasde never stop making it!!!!

I am trying to remember the name of a candy bar we used to eat in Southern California when I was small-early fifties. It had sections-and I know one of them was topped with a brazil nut. I can't remember what the other sections had on them. I was thinking it was named something like Four Musketeers, but can't find that.

I had also tried to remember what candy bar was wrapped in a light green crackly wrapper. I had thought it was the Mars bar but couldn't remember. I finally saw a book on ebay with the Mars bar on the cover and there was the candy-Mars for sure.

It's rough to try to remember something no one else seems to know what you are talking about. Please help.

does anyone remember Mr. Kayloris, one of the first superintendents of Peerless Candy? His son, Johnny, was my dad's best friend growing up in Chicago in the 1920's. My dad is now 86 years old and still talks about how delicious the candy was.
