Are you ready to meet the NEW Mr. Willy Wonka

With the launch of the remake of the classic film, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, we would love to hear your opinions about the new rendering and whether or not it was a wise thing to tinker with a true candy and film classic.

Some people claim that “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” while others believe in progress..

At Candyblog.org, we want to know where you stand…..

Hey There, This is Nick Candy From The UK; The View over here is a mixed one.

The book by Roald Dahl was a favorite amongst Schools, when the original Movie came out in 1971 it was an instant hit, when it came to TV it was The Film to watch!! Grandad Joe was an amazing hit with us kids & Gene Wilder played a Mystical & Magical Character as Willy Wonka, he purveyed all the dreams & wishes that a small child needed. I remember being scared by the Ompaloompa’s but in an exciting way. This brilliant children’s classic has all of the “stuff” that great films are made of.

The story centres on the mysterious Mr. Wonka, who owns the worlds most magnificent chocolate and candy factory. Mr. Wonka’s famous candy bars are especially desirable these days, because 5 of them have a “golden ticket”, the winners of which will be guests of honour and receive a tour of the chocolate factory, along with wonderful prizes.

The entire world is watching via TV and everyone follows the news of who is winning the golden tickets. Our hero, poor boy Charlie is the most deserving to win one of the tickets, and he does! The magical tour of the factory is a treat to watch. Then there are the wonderful songs, highlighted by “The Candy Man”, which 2 years later became a #1 hit for Sammy Davis Jr.”

Now the answer to the $64,000 question! Will the new be able to re-write this Classic? Could it beat this one to the top of anyone’s favourites list? Kids of all ages will treasure “Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory” for generations yet unknown! Even if it does look a little dated! However as a great fan of Johnny Depp & Tim Burton I ask the questions. Will this be Tim’s Dark Mysterious movie making transforming into a Fantastic Bright Family Classic? Will Johnny pull of the stunt of copying Gene Wilder or use his own genre & interpretation of the Character- Come On We Know The Answer This Johnny Will Do WHAT He Wants!!

After meeting him on a few occasions his knowledge of Cinema History is Strange but fascinating & he lives & breaths Movies!!

Now this is the Question do I sell out from my Childhood Dream World or Embrace the New With Its Special Effects & Vivid Images……Only Time Can Tell!!

You Guys will see it before me so tell me & I’ll report back after the UK Premiere!

Take Care USA Love You Guys From Nick Candy UK!
